Blond female
Friday, February 19, 2010
The lady who drives Washington plate # 547WNG, a dark blue Volvo needs to learn and understand the laws while she is driving. Here she is driving northbound from Portland Oregon to Vancouver Washington in the carpool lane which is suppose to be for 2 or more people per car. She is alone. Changed lanes a few times without using her turn signals. Maybe Volvo doesn't equip their cars with that option any longer? Ha! She also likes to tailgate. Watch out for her.

I can share them (already sent the list to WSP, lol! They did not respond at all)
is there an HOV category?

This driver was weaving in and out trying to get ahead during congestive traffic conditions. I see her approaching in the rear view and I just like to let people like that go by, so they're far away from me. But she didn't she stayed on my tail because no one else would let her in and nearly hit me everytime I stopped at a light. To top it, her music was so lound it vibrated my windows and of course it's irritating. I didn't want to hear anything. I'm pretty sure this is the norm in places but I wish these wreckless drivers were caught more often, and told to turn it down. I know it's their ears but I honestly don't like 'feeling' someone else's music.

Stop Signs Don't Apply to Everyone...
Monday, July 20, 2009
Stop signs apparently don't apply to everyone... I guess. While driving on NE 99 Street today in Vancouver, WA, a woman in a Ford Explorer, plates 168-NZR, decided to not only almost hit and killed the pedestrian on the sidewalk as she blew a stop sign, but she almost killed me and a car that was already stopped in front of her waiting to pull out. She got very upset when I honked at her. WOW! I'm sorry to be so rude, ma'am! Your careless actions nearly wiped a total of 3 other people off of this planet. And then you act as though you were the one that was wronged. After pulling out into traffic, she accelerated like she was racing to get on a freeway. It's a 2 lane road near a school. Granted school is out for the summer, but there are kids playing everywhere! Of course she eventually got hung up at a red light behind about 7 other cars, so when I caught up to her and snapped a picture of her license plate she absolutely flipped.
If she's going to drive like she's special, she should expect special treatment in return. Especially when she ends up getting reported for unbelievably aggressive and dangerous driving.

Sullen killer

WA plate 280 NJN, you are a tailgating, open-container-holding menace. A beautiful sunny afternoon in Seattle, I'm on my bike on a quiet residential street and you come up behind me like a bat out of hell and ride me, speeding up and hitting the brakes, over and over again, inches from my back tire, for a whole block... just because I'm slowing you down by three or four seconds on your trip to the quickie-mart to get more of whatever that can is you're holding in your other hand.
By the way, your orange-skinned girlfriend in the passenger seat look truly horrified. Even she is beginning to realize what a knuckle-scraper you are.

Cyclist Cliped By King County Metro
Wednesday, May 06, 2009
This last summer I was riding my bike on Benson Highway in a 35 mph zone. I was riding on the rode with the flow of traffic because the sidewalk was of pedestrians. I have a rode bike with a mirror on the side so that when I am riding, I can see traffic around me. On this particular day, I saw the 169 bus coming up the rode behind me and moved as far right in my lane as i could without hitting the curb. (assuming the bus would move left as courtious drivers tend to do when they see a bike on the rode). Whell, he didn't, and he clipped my mirror and handlebar with the mirror on his bus. I proceded to fall onto the side of the bus where the door is until the bus driver brought the bus to a halt. I have never been so scared in my entire life. I never called the county or told my parents or the police or anything.

On 3/31/09, while driveng a high profile vehicle at Microsoft campus bldg. 22, I was in need of some more room to make a corner in the parking lot and avoid a low hanging tree which would have scratched my vehicle. I gestured to one vehicle, and she complied by moving forward to make room. As I began to proceed, another vehicle enterd the lot and blocked my exit. I gestured to her to move as the other vehicle did, and got her middle finger. She finally complied and gave me the look of death as she passed by. I didn't steal her first child!

Elderly woman can't drive!
Sunday, September 21, 2008
I was walking with my 4 year old son and we went into the cross walk as all 4 directions had stopped. In downtown Puyallup there are bright orange flags that are provided by the city at the cross walks so drivers see the pedestrians. I was carrying and displaying the flag. As we approach the middle of the road an elderly woman in a tan/brown sedan, plate # 418-TYB proceeds into the crosswalk and comes within 1 foot of my son. I grabbed him and pulled him back before he got hit. She just proceeded on like she didn't see a thing. I got her plate # and walked to the police station to report the incident. They called me back later and said there was nothing they could do about it unless she hit my son. Then they proceeded to tell us that the vehicle description didn't match the plate. I was pissed at this point and told them that they have a bigger problem now. Crazy ass old lady should be off the road.

Semi Driver from hell...
Thursday, July 17, 2008
I filed this full report online with details / pictures - HERE...
REPORT:
Driving
from Longview to Astoria, I had the terrible misfortune of being near
this semi truck with an insane driver. This begins when seeing him
first in Longview and crossing over the Lewis and Clark bridge
to the Oregon side. I noticed he was an aggressive driver when he
pulled on to the lane to go up the bridge very quickly - too fast for a
semi truck making such a sharp turn from 432 onto 433 to go up the bridge.
Things were fine until on the other side of the bridge he was cruising
up the hill in the left lane preventing others from passing him.
The worst part happened in Claskanie
-- On Rt 30 through Claskanie it is 30 mph - which he was going far
over 30mph in the left lane. We were stopped at the red light and immediatly ahead of us was a merger.
There were two vehicles in the right lane - one of which was myself.
When the light turned green - the semi truck decided to try to beat us
before the merger. We were accelerating at the same time and the semi
truck had no business flooring it to try to get ahead of us. And he
kept speeding up. Meanwhile his aggressive driving forced us both
nearly into the lane of oncoming traffic.
We managed to floor it in a panic and make it around him swining before oncoming traffic hit us.
This
driver then proceded to give the middle finger from his semi cab and
decided to ride our ass blatantly intentionally to demonstrate his
anger.
Overall this driver should be off the road.

Terrible Driver
Friday, May 16, 2008
So I was with my family going to the zoo. In front of us is a green Subaru with the license plate 670-S0V. She goes crazy and starts yelling at people from her car. She stops at a green light and starts trying to back her car into us. All of this she has a child in her back seat. Showing she must be a terrible mother as well as a retarded driver. I mean that just makes me so mad she really needs to learn to drive. And she parked near us but she parked in 2 Parking Spots.

Learn how to merge!
Tuesday, May 13, 2008
I can't tell you how many times, some guy in his F350 is coming down an on-ramp, and expects me to change my speed to give him a place to go. He gets to the end of his merging lane, and is still right next to me with nowhere to go. Eventually, when he realizes I'm not intimidated by his large vehicle, he slams on his brakes, jumps in behind me, flashes his lights at me, and proceeds to tailgate me for the next 3 miles. Now it's not just people in trucks that do this, but it happens quite often.
It would be great if people on the highway would learn how to merge. More accurately, people wanting to GET ON the highway need to learn how to merge. Let's be clear here, the people already on the highway do NOT have to change their speed to "let you in". In fact, drivers already on the highway are supposed to maintain constant speed, so that people coming down an on-ramp can adjust accordingly.
If a highway driver slows down to "let someone in", the on-ramp driver may also be slowing down to get behind the person, thus they stay next to each other. One of the drivers needs to adjust to the other. According to Washington State Law, the driver that needs to adjust is the one that wants to merge in. While people think it's "common courtesy" to slow down or speed up to "let someone in", it actually creates more problems that in solves. Even worse, it perpetuates the misconception that people on the highway are supposed to adjust themselves to make a hole for the merging traffic.
Personally, I put my car on cruise control when I come up to on-ramps where I typically see this. I don't care what car you drive -- I'm already here, I'm not changing my speed, and merging drivers, can either learn to adjust themselves (like they're supposed to), or they can drive onto the shoulder, or they can run into me -- I'm sick of placating drivers who can't be bothered to merge properly.
So, one last time, DRIVERS ALREADY ON THE HIGHWAY HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY OVER DRIVERS WANTING TO MERGE IN -- LEARN IT, LIVE IT, LOVE IT!

Texting While Driving
Wednesday, April 09, 2008
I don't, well do, believe that people are still texting while driving.
On I-5 today near Lynwood, a Ford Pickup truck, LIC # A24865Y, the guy was using both hands to text while in the left lane near the carpool lane. He was driving over 60mph, because he passed me.
Is it not the new law that took effect of texting and hands free?

Senior restrictions
Monday, March 24, 2008
In Washington State they have restrictions for teenage drivers. I think it's time they do the same for elderly drivers. I had two instances today with elderly drivers at the sametime. One was a lady following me who was riding me (i was doing 40-45 speed limit is 40) from 262th all the way to Steel Lake with her left turn signal on the whole time. The second incident (while still having the lady behind me) I'm doing 40-45 on a straight away when a elderly lady turns right in front of me . Thank goodness for good brakes, quick reflects and the man above, because I was so close to her back end I could read the small print on her jacket. To top it off she never got up to or close to the posted speed limit. I think it's time to also instead of just testing people's sight to also test their reflex response to different situations. That way families who have been trying to find a solution to getting the keys away from elderly family members can use the dept of licensing as the scapegoat and the rest of us will know that these people have been tested and deemed safe to drive. It's just a thought! If I've offended anyone with this thought I apologize ahead of time. It was not my intent.

Flammable Trucks
Wednesday, March 19, 2008
Tideflats Tacoma:
Associated Petroleum Products tanker trucks flagrantly violate RCW 46.61.350 by NOT stopping or even slowing down for rail crossings. RCW 46.61.350 states that "any vehicle carrying explosive substances or flammable liquids as a cargo" ... "shall stop such vehicle within fifty feet" from the nearest rail track, stop, look, and listen before proceeding.
