  • I was on my way to work this morning (June 13, 2013), heading North on Butterfield Road. Just past Route 176 at about 7:55, the woman driving this Honda Civic either decided that it would be appropriate to change lanes into my car, or just didn't look before moving over. I am used to shenanigans like this by now, so I stay alert behind the wheel, and in this case I was able to brake hard to avoid being hit, but it was a very close call that left my heart pounding and my hands shaking. I honked at her, but I doubt she realized just how close she actually came to hitting me.

  • Driver is under the impression that his Ford Fusion entitles him to force others in front of him to move over for his personal benefit of the road surface.

While on Wolf Road driver repeatedly tailgated any, and all, in front of him creating a danger to himself and others.

While on Rt 80 driver proceeded at, had to be over 80 mph, to tailgate traffic and proceeded to pass normal traffic using the exit lane.

The woman behind the wheel is a serious danger to anyone else on the road.

Sadly a poor representative of Northwestern University. The driver routinely exceeded the speed limit why tailgating at every opportunity. It is fine to own a powerful vehicle but there should be a sanity test for those who are given the keys.

This person will eventually cause an accident either to himself or others.

From Orland Park to Mokena on Rt 45 the female driving persisted in weaving and tailgating all traffic.

In order to capture the license tag I took a photo of the vehicle. And what do you believe happened? The driver called the police to investigate why I took the photo.

After giving Platewire a promotion the police ignored the call by the traffic violator.

  • Apparently observing the SPEED LIMIT in the right-lane is something this less than dynamic husband and spouse are willing to accept.

Drivers beware!

Anytime you might be driving on 191st Street they may be lurking for the opportunity to intimate you to break the law if there are other vehicles in the passing lane.

When will the police or insurance companies start to ticket or increase the rates of these violators?

I suspect we should not hold our breath...

  • Going west on I80 between Harlem and Route 45, driver and occupant were tailgating any vehicle in front of them irrespective of speed; posted or in excess by as much as 20 mph. Tailgating in this instance was less than ten (10) feet at speed!

Their MO was simply one of intimidation; the road belonged to them an anyone in their path was going to be their next victim.

Stop them before they kill someone.

  • Approximately 9:10 A.M. driving west on Jefferson in a terrible traffic jam. Female driver lacked common courtesy to play fair by letting other vehicle merge in a one-for-one fashion. Rather she repeatedly ignored fairness while all of us where stuck in a 30-minute traffic jam.

What an example; or perhaps a typical example.

One can only conclude -- a badge gives one the option of ignoring the laws and safe driving practices. Hopefully, the insurance companies will take note!

  • This cocksucker is on drugs. He slams on his brakes to get you to crash into him on the freeway and then tried to sideswipe me when I changed lanes. I was traveling at a safe distance (I had plenty of time to slow down and miss him) and did not make obscene jestures of any kind. This prick is on drugs or is paranoid. MI drivers please stay home   Saturday, September 22, 2012

Would the people from MI please stay out of Illinois. Your driving is inept and your attitudes are horrible. MI drivers are constantly gunking up the works. I can only guess that they are intimidated by the big city lights. Stay the hell home!

    Almost T-boned   Saturday, February 18, 2012

Westbound on Fullerton Ave. driving through the intersection of Fullerton, Lincoln & Halsted at about 1:25 a.m. this morning.  I had the green light.  Narrowly escaped being T-boned by a red Vibe, license plate 623 7365.  That Vibe was headed right for us.  I took evasive action and it missed us by about 7 inches.  This is a great location for drunk drivers, especially early in the morning after all the yahoo tourists leave Lincoln Park and go home to their gated communities in the 'burbs.  OK, I'm being judgmental here.  So what, I earned it.  Dorks.

dangerous road rage   Sunday, November 06, 2011

The male driver of a gray BMK 330i started turning into my lane (the wrong lane for him to turn into) in front of me.  I sped up so he could get behind me.  He then sped up to cut me off and stopped FOUR separate times on Highway 41 (a busy highway) to get me to almost rear-end him.  He kept flipping me off and got angrier when I wasn't acting upset in return.  I had a 1 1/2 year old in the backseat.

Right Hook on Milwaukee Ave.   Friday, August 19, 2011

4:47 p.m., northbound Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago, north of Central Park.  A biker was traveling northwest with traffic when he was brutally right-hooked by a van, turning into a driveway at a mattress store that the residents of the 'hood have been trying to shut down for years because it is an eyesore.  The license plate is K56 1966.  I got off my bike and asked the dude if he was OK and if his bike was OK.  He was OK.  He did not see any turn signal on K56 1966, and neither did I from where I was traveling.  The owner of K56 1966 is also the owner of the eyesore (which is not especially relevant, except that I know the story behind it, and that the guy has been arrogant to the neighbors, just a little insightful tidbit).  He was defensive to the biker and gave the impression that he didn't care if he had been injured.  It was all about saving his entitled arse.

This actually happened in September 2010. I wrote down the vehicle details so I could call the police, but decided not to. I didn't want to get myself involved. I kept the info and came across this site today. It's time to tell this disgusting story. I was driving down Route 173 and the subject vehicle was weaving. I assumed the driver was drunk or using a cell phone but decided to get past him when it went to two lanes. I wish I hadn't. There was the driver, not drunk or using a cell phone but getting a blowjob! He looked like he was at least 40 years old. I got a short glimpse of her when she came up for air and he pushed her head back down and hit the brakes because he realized I had gotten alongside of him. She couldn't have been any older than 21 years old! I can't tell you how disgusted I was! Why would somebody do something like that? It's obvious the young lady has no self-esteem.

Pussy - not a cat - behind the wheel   Tuesday, September 28, 2010

Idiot T274196 blocking the left lane, everybody has to go around him while he makes his phone call, those trying to go around him are trying to squeeze into the middle lane to pass the goof, who is oblivious. Ah, but when he finishes his phone call to his mommy, then he speeds up and starts flipping off the long line of cars that had to pass him. Oh yeah, and he did it in a real manly way! Flipping people off without having the nads to look at them makes you a pussy for life.

There's no use singling out any one idiot on interstate 90 between 294 and Randall road going in either direction. The idiots in the trucks cant't read the signs about trucks using the two right lanes and the other lame brains going 60mph in the left lane don't understand what "Slower traffic keep right" means.

Jerk trying to cause a crash/death   Friday, July 09, 2010

A male driving a tan Dodge pickup IL plate 27 736V was seriously trying to cause me to crash and either kill others or myself. He was wrecklessly driving on the Bishop Ford as I was behind someone. He was swerving his vehicle back and forth. As he sped up to pass us I gave him the finger just to show him he was stupid. He sped away only to pull over to the side of the highway going into Indiana to get behind me, pull up to the side of me and honk his horn as he jerked his truck back and forth!!!! I hope he is stuck in plenty of traffic because eastbound on I80 was packed! You jerk!!!!!

Incident Good job almost slamming into the back of my car while you text on your phone. Tell your girlfriend to bring her compact instead of using the rearview mirror to put on makeup. Maybe if you both stayed at home for 10 minutes longer you could pay attention to driving. And then yell at me because of your mistake. Hopefully we meet again.

    18-wheeler road rage   Monday, May 17, 2010

Was driving up I-57 late last night and was approaching a construction zone.  Passed an 18-wheeler about a mile before the road switched to a single lane.  This apparently pissed off the driver, who swerved into the left lane, accelerated rapidly, pulled up next to me, and almost forced me off the road as the left lane ended and he merged right (into the lane I was in).  I had to speed up quickly to avoid eating orange barrel.  The 18-wheeler also sped up and rode about an inch from the rear of my truck through the construction zone.  Unfortunately I couldn't get a plate number on this guy, and I wasn't very inclined to get anywhere near him again after the construction zone.  Anyone who thinks its okay to use an 18-wheeler as a weapon on the road doesn't need to be in the trucking business!
