It was cool and damp today. It is only 55 degrees out.  I think winter is here. 

I'm waiting for dark. I have a skunk problem and I'm about to blast the skunk population with my 12 gauge.

Good thing the house windows will be closedf tonight! The neighborhood will stink to high heaven!

ya better be carful b/c of the stench!  

I'm used to shooting the skunks.  I do it from a distance.  I don't want to get sprayed! 

here the skunck are minnamal but when they get hit man i smells! and it makes me noushes! 

How's the Big Apple?

Must be crazy down there all hours of the day and night.

Sometimes I just miss all the activity of the big city.  You can go out anytime you want and get anything you want at any hour.

Where I live it is like the wilderness.

yea a little but hey it ok so far ! the lates new i hear was their was a fire down town today by ground zero . i think it was the one of the abandon buliding down their..

I visited ground zero a couple of years ago. My sister lives in Manhatten around 49th Street & Lexington.

My wife and I went down and stayed at my sister's place. 

It was fun to visit, but I was glad to be home.  I feel like a fish out of water in the big city.

I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and moved up here in 1980.

Now, I'm not used to the city life any more. I feel out of place.

No, don't kill that skunk, his family, several generations before, were here before you were.
Live trap him and set him loose in the median of a very busy interstate like everyone else does, or so it seams.
They also make good pets...since you don't have any kids...

Just don't forget to have him neutered, like I had Spitfire neutered years ago. I had to.....that's all there was to it. I had to!

No skunk last night.

I have a huge Havahart trap, however, I'm afraid to try to transport the durned thing on account of I don't want me or my truck to get sprayed.

Besides, in Vermont, it is illegal to transport any animal by any means.

techie, I should not complain one bit.

I just got done mowing the lawn and it is 67 degrees out with very little humidity and a nice breeze.

I guess I think about having to pre-buy oil for the winter within the week, or so (we're looking at around $3,000).

I have a concert tonight (outdoor), so it will be a bit brisk for that (I'll dress warm).

And I can't complain about winter. My power bills are typically less than $90 per month in the winter and I'm all electric here.  

So, I guess in the end, every little thing "evens itself out!"
