Salesman,

When I poked my eye about 20 years ago with a pice of wire the eye doctor kept looking at it and telling me how it shouldn't be hurting.

Meanwhile, I was in excrutiating pain. He finally gave me some Tyloenol 3's, but I was still in tremenodous pain.  I remember I had an eye patch and evertime I would move my head/eyes, the damaged eye would really hurt.

It took about two years before the scratchy feeling finally went away.

In 2003 or so, I had right knee Laparoscopic surgery.

That doctor (quack) told me that I would not be in much pain.

Well, I think I was his Guinea Pig on how to use the Laparoscopy machine, because I was in such pain I did not sleep for a week, even with heavy duty narcotics.

Well, there's an intersection in Missoula, Montana called "Confunction Junction" (FIVE streets meet there).

TomCat

Its actually called "Malfunction Junction".  And for some reason, there are very few accidents at this intersection!

I hate to see "we should only see minimal amounts of snow". Everyone dashes to the store and buys out the bread, milk and toilet paper. The other thing I hate to see is "we're expecting a large amount of snow" because we usually only get a trace. Either way, lots of people around here can't drive in any precipitation that we do get!

Words tha scare me:

 "No offense, but..."

"With all due respect..."

"Stay the course."

"I'm going to spread democracy..."

"Are you sitting down?"

"Watch this..." (in a car or airplane)

"What could go wrong?"

Well, there's an intersection in Missoula, Montana called "Confunction Junction" (FIVE streets meet there).

And there's the "Orange Crush" in Southern California Where Interstate 5 (Santa Ana Freeway) meets SR-57 (Orange Freeway) and SR-22 (Garden Grove Freeway).

 Words that scare me:

"Holland Tunnel" (yes, I drove it, at the height of rush hour two weeks ago on vacation in a rental minivan...and I regretted every second of that decision).  I guess I should throw "New York, NY" in the same sentence...BTW, it makes the DC Beltway (which I also drove on this trip) seem like a milk run :)

"Sunset Highway" here in the Portland, OR area...hell's kitchen for driving styles, and every motorist who drives something expensive think the world revolves around them.

Again in Portland: "Ross Island Bridge."  I had the misfortune of having to use this one for the first four years I lived in the Portland area...

"Banfield Freeway."  A virtual parking lot if you get caught  in rush hour traffic while on it...

I95....ANYWHERE on it. But personally speaking and, for those who know it well, the span between 234 DUMfries and Spotsylvania, VA. I see 95 as such an evil number now, kinda like 666. Maybe they should change it. Might prevent a couple less accidents. doubt it. ;(P
