To "Award" a driver, is to say thanks to a driver for showing courtesy and thoughtfulness.

To "Flag" a driver, is to warn a driver of his/her rude and/or careless behavior that you have witnessed.

To "Wink" at a driver, is to send a flirtacious message to a driver you've encountered.

To "Hazard" a driver is to warn them of a physical hazard that their vehicle exhibits.

I-80 road construction

Background: I drive from San Francisco to mid-Michigan a lot, and usually avoid the Chicago area due to major road construction / congestion on I-80.  From Joliet to Gary, the road was last year a mess.  At the Iowa/Illinois rest area, the people there were advising taking US 30 during daylight hours around the mess... and through Chicago's worst slums.

Question: This year, is it any better?

Everybody sing...On the road again, me and my friends are on the road again....

 Cowpoke, just came through there several hours ago, 4:30 PM local time, Monday afternoon. Never got below 50 MPH. Wide open , four lanes eastbound. Have I Pass, didn't even stop to pay the toll.

Saw a T shirt at R Place (truckstop) in Morris had a slanded line across the front of it. Above the line it said, "Welcome to Wisconsin home of the free". Below the line it said, "Welcome to Illinois, pay toll one mile."
