  • Friday, May 9th at approximately 5:30 pm. South bound I-15 at point of the mountain people were passing this driver on the right because he would not yield the right of way in the passing lane. (Far left non HOV lane) Refusing to pass on the right I stayed behind him. He tapped his brakes to let me know I was too close. I did not leave the lane so he held the brakes slowing to well below 50 mph. Getting the hint he was ignorant of our new law to yield the right of way in the passing lane, I broke the law and passed on the right. While next to him I noticed he was in law enforcement uniform. It is so dissapointing to see that our law enforcement that issues infractions upon us, will not even obey the easiest and most courteous of laws.

  • Observed this guy tailgating me southbound down Kirby through River Oaks and towards Shepherd last Wednesday, May 6, around 4:00 in the afternoon. He was desperate to get around me and swerved in and out of both lanes a couple of times before there was room for him to pass, but once there was, WHOA NELLIE! He was gone! Nonetheless, he didn't really keep it up as he seemed content not to weave on Shepherd going towards I-10, so I passed him in the vicinity of Washington avenue as I just drove the speed limit and stayed in my lane. Once we got past the freeway, he took off again and blew past me as we crossed the northbound bridge on Shepherd, yet once again he hit traffic and slowed down and I just kept on going in the left lane content to turn towards home at 11th street. Next thing I know, he's behind me again as I turn, but this time he turns into the parking lot for the large Ross Dress for Less store on 11th @ Durham, wherein I guess he went inside and bought the cheap knockoff clothing that he was obviously in such a hurry to go buy. Not really sure what his problem is driving, except that he speeds mindlessly when he has room and is content to tailgate when he doesn't. Cheers.

  • Observed this person yesterday evening, around 8:15pm, driving like a maniac through my neighborhood going northbound of TC Jester. I first encountered him as we turned off of the freeway access road - he tailgated me like a champ through the traffic light at Larkin to the base of the railroad overpass, then he swerved out from behind me as soon as he was able and took off down the road like a silver bullet. Naturally, he got caught at the traffic light at 11th, but just used that opportunity to swerve across three lanes of traffic to the empty lane, and then, when the light turned green, he jumped the light and swerved back across three lanes of traffic again to take the left hand fork at the split between West and East TC Jester. Once he was safely on the west side, he flew on down the road, probably hitting 50mph or faster, even though the speed limit here is 35. Please slow down, there are many people who live in our neighborhood and your driving puts them in danger. This is especially important at twilight when the visibility is not as good. Thanks.

  • Ran into this collection of idiocy yesterday evening around 8:00pm in the Galleria area. The driver tailgated me hard going up the ramp onto the northbound 610 at Westheimer, then proceeded to weave in and out of traffic and cut a number of other drivers off as he was obviously too impatient to drive at the prevailing speed of traffic. To top all of that off, this was a tricked out accord with aftermarket blue headlights that were aimed incorrectly and way too bright to begin with, and one of these jackasses was flinging cigarette butts out of the back window of the car as they flew down the freeway. HPD, please help these guys learn some manners!

  • I complain enough on Platewire that it's probably only fair to hand out an award. This person is a very good driver. I encountered him yesterday going northbound down TC Jester in my neighborhood. He did not speed away from stop lights, he drove a safe and reasonable speed (but not too slow) and, best of all, he seemed to be aware of his speed at all times and tapped the brakes as he crossed over the railroad bridge just south of 11th street, being careful not to fly down the backside as so many other drivers just seem to do instinctively. Please accept my warm appreciation for your responsible behavior.

  • Observed this nice man using the overflow lane on southbound TC Jester @ 11th street yesterday evening (May 8 ~ 6:45pm) to pass the traffic lined up in the two right (thru) lanes. The overflow lane ends shortly after the light and this guy knew exactly what he was doing when he jumped the green light and cut his way back over as soon as he was clear. Not only is this rude to everyone else waiting their turn at the light, it's dangerous because you're not paying attention to the road. Also, for what it's worth, it's also particularly dangerous to put the seat so far back in your car that you can barely see over the windshield. You look like a fool and you cannot see other traffic very well. Please grow up and get some manners.

  • This afternoon, around 4:00 pm. This moron blew past me over the railroad bridge on TC Jester northbound just past I-10 before 11th street. The speed limit over this bridge is 35mph and this guy was going at least 55 or 60 as he crested the bridge just FLYING down the road. And even though he was going so fast, he still got caught at the stoplight on 11th street, where I was able to get his license plate for posting to Platewire. Please slow down and drive more safely and courteously when you're going through my neighborhood, there are young families and older people who live here. The traffic lights are going to catch you anyway, so all you're doing is making the road more risky for other drivers and pedestrians. Thank you.

  • This young male driver seemed high on something. He was speeding, weaving, and cutting off everyone else. He exited at S. Rainier Ave. Very dangerous! I also reported him on line on WA State Patrol's website.

  • This Alabama driver doesn't care about school zones in Florida. She was ahead of me slightly but didn't slow down much for the flashing light school zone and then was way ahead. The only reason I got her tag was because a few miles down the road she caught up to slow traffic behind a delivery truck.

  • This idiot was dogging the left lane by going slower than traffic on the right...looked like he was playing video games on his cell phone or texting while "driving". Pay attention to the road or please pull your starter Bimmer over.

Has anyone heard of this or use them? if use them, are the worth it? I'm thinking about doing it as the price is becoming outrageous!

NitroNize Your Tires - The Facts About Nitrogen

Benefits of filling your tires with nitrogen instead of air:

There are many benefits of nitronizing your tires with nitrogen instead of air.
NitroNize your tires today and you can:

    • Get Increased Gas Mileage
Using nitrogen instead of air keeps your tires properly inflated longer, and properly inflated tires can increase gas mileage by an average of 1 mile per gallon. While this doesn't seem like much, it can save you about $0.20 cents / gallon at the pump. (at a price of $3.00 per gallon)
    • Save Time
Nitrogen molecules are bigger than air molecules, so they don't leak as quickly a air. It takes a nitro-nized tire almost 3 months to leak the same amount as an air filled tire. This means you can go longer between fillups. Who really wants to spend time filling up their tires anyway?
