Reporting Aggressive Drivers
Aggressive driving behavior includes tailgating, weaving in and out of traffic, passing on the right or on the shoulder of the highway, cutting people off, failure to allow others to merge onto the highway or to pass, obscene hand gestures, honking, yelling or flashing lights, exceeding the speed limit, bumping or ramming another vehicle or brandishing weapons.
To report an aggressive driver, road hazards, or to request assistance, you can use your cell phone to make a free call directly to the Colorado State Patrol by dialing STAR CSP (*277).
When dialing Star CSP be prepared to communicate:
License Plate Number - this is key because no action can be taken without it
Location and Direction of Travel
Vehicle Description and Driver Description
