Location Santa Clara  (California)
Incident I had the misfortune of driving to work this morning instead of biking for the first time in a while. Eastbound on Central Expressway, I got on at Mary. This tool cut across the solid lines at the gore without signaling, cutting me off. I knew what was coming next. Of COURSE she merged immediately into the left lane on Central, and set up her campsite next to a Corolla in the right lane, and steadfastly refused to pass or move over. I stayed right, because I knew she wasn't moving over, and hoped the Corolla in front of me would speed up a bit and pass her on the right. No deal, they both maintained speeds below the limit. Traffic started backing up behind all of us, naturally. By the time the right lane driver finally exited, and I was able to pass on the right and escape, 18 cars were bunched up behind us. This unsafe situation was entirely due to this bandit's selfish, oblivious, completely incompetent, and illegal decision to camp in the left lane.

Sounds like lemmings following the leader to their death! The new passing lane is way over to the right - there's no one there!
