Sped past a stopped schoolbus that had its flashing lights on. Could have killed some kids 5 days before christmas!

The bus should have pulled over and let the cars pass before he turned his lights on and dropped the kids off.
You probably are just an old dumb fart.

Posted by roostercruiser on Wednesday, December 20, 2006

Did you can the local police, you should have because chances are someone else did. They get muliple calls on something like this they would do something. It just might of made a difference on whether this guy gets caught or not. New school busses are coming out with cameras and are used on routes that have a high instance of this kind of behaveur. Ya I know it's mispelled. another thing you might want to do is stop and explain this to the parents. Have them stand there with a movie camera when the kids get on and off the bus. It would be in their best interest.

Posted by testuser on Wednesday, December 20, 2006

Does it really make it that much worse that it is 5 days before Christmas?

Posted by roostercruiser on Wednesday, December 20, 2006

He just be an old fart, but YOU are a crackerhead. No doubt in my mind!

Posted by hotdog on Wednesday, December 20, 2006

What is a crackerhead little roostercruiser? I bet your just a dumb lard ass!

Posted by roostercruiser on Wednesday, December 20, 2006

Yes it does Testuser, lost my younger sister two days before Christmas. Since then, even tho they try to hide it, everyone remembers what happened two days before Christmas. Here I am 30 yrs later, mother is is a nursing home, and she still remembers....has trouble remembering other things, but this is burnt into he memory, or so it seems. Happy Holidays and please, BE SAFE!

Posted by roostercruiser on Wednesday, December 20, 2006

Hotter Doggie, I'm glad to see you can't spell either. And you should realize that a school bus pulling over can be dangerious. He was probably going to turn after that stop anyway.

Posted by testuser on Wednesday, December 20, 2006

For starters, Let's all be adults here, and not call each other names. Secondly, sorry for the loss rooster. I have a 3 year old daughter, and I would think that if she died, no matter the day, it would be the saddest day of my year every year. A friend of mine's daughter died on the 4th of Juy a couple of years ago from a brain tumor. That is still a sad day for me, and she wasn't even MY daughter...

Posted by kefren on Wednesday, December 20, 2006

this website isnt about being adults you poo-heads!!! its about being anal and complaining about everyone else!

i mean we all know that WE ourselves are the best drivers and everyone else is at fault

Posted by hotdog on Wednesday, December 20, 2006

I hope you all get hit by cars!! You bastards!!!

Posted by roostercruiser on Wednesday, December 20, 2006

We're just messing with each other Test. So you understand what I mean that it does make a difference not only for the kids family, but the family of the crackhead (def: someone who has no idea of what's going on and says or does something to confirm that to everyone.)who was the driver that injured the kids. And sorry for your loss too. And don't say she wasn't your daughter, think of her as your god-daughter.

Posted by roostercruiser on Wednesday, December 20, 2006

Hotdog isn't it passed your nap time....

Posted by roostercruiser on Wednesday, December 20, 2006

Kefren, aaaaahhhh what'e a poo-head?

Posted by hotdog on Wednesday, December 20, 2006

Hi Rooster, it's not near my bedtime yet but thanks for asking..... I feel like I want to get in my car and pass a school bus right now!! ZOOOOM!! Hopefully the lights are flashing!!

Posted by arjade on Wednesday, December 20, 2006

If the bus has it's lights on, the driver should have stopped. That's the bottom line! A bus can stop whenever they need to, to drop off kids. This business about pulling over to the side and then turning on the lights is silly business. It would have been awful for those kids to get hit. Hotdog, I hope you're not really as fast and reckless as you make yourself out to be. If so, I'd sure like to like to make sure anyone or anything that could get hit is away from you.

Posted by arjade on Thursday, December 21, 2006

good.

Posted by maine8 on Thursday, December 21, 2006

This was reported to the police and this guy has been caught, for all who care to know.

Posted by roostercruiser on Thursday, December 21, 2006

Glad to hear that Maine8, Arjade, there is a reason he calls himself Hot Dog....

Posted by sledge42 on Thursday, December 21, 2006

rooster cruiser? you must drive truck

Posted by BayTrucker on Sunday, December 24, 2006

I dont know about Maine but in California, ALL drivers must stop in both directions when driver has his lights on. Hotdog, If I ever see a driver acting crazy when there are kids around, I would chase thier punkass down and beat them senseless. Your time will come jack ass.

Hotdog is a prime example of why young drivers pay such high insurance rates, inexperience and dangerous bravado = more accidents, and I hesitate to call them accidents when foolish behavior is the cause. It is not practical or safe for a schoolbus to pull over and let others pass - the bus could be there all night waitng when it only takes a few minutes of a few other drivers' time to stop and wait.
Also, the death of any child is tragic, but suppose it was several children or even all the children from the same family as is often the case at busstops?
Finally, it does make a difference at the holidays. My father passed suddenly on Dec. 12, 1988 and my wife, again suddenly, on Jan. 3, 1992, neatly bracketing the holiday season and making it difficult to completely enjoy this time of year.
I'm very sorry about your loss, roostercruiser.

Hot Dog needs to grow up and have his or her own children. Lets hope that if he or she has the urge to go around a school bus that is stopped and letting kids off that it is his own kids that he hurts no one elses. Maybe then he will understand what it is like to lose children to his carlessness and dumb actions that can be avoided. Hot Dog needs to grow up and be careful around gods children.

Some of these comments are so sad...this is not a site to sling names at each other. We are all intitled to our opinion, and hotdog if that had been your kids getting of that bus you would be looking at this differently. School buses are not required to pull over so traffic can pass. I know that me typing this is going to open myself up to your foul mouth, but I am an adult that has no use for what you say or think.

Think of the name "hotdog" for a minute......Now he makes more sense doesn't he? You people take this too serious. There is always going to be at least one person who is starving for attention and just had a retard sandwich for lunch. Calm down! Don't answer the idiots. They'll get off of here and head back to the porn sites.

Posted by Kel on Friday, December 29, 2006

Retard sandwich? I love it.

Posted by BayTrucker on Tuesday, December 26, 2006

Hotdog wont learn till he plowed into a group of kids and sitting in quentin waiting to be executed.

Posted by The Nerd on Friday, December 29, 2006

Passing Schoolbusses is inexcusable, and should always be reported to law enforcement. (Hotdog, you roostercruiser!)

Posted by 3dognite on Friday, December 29, 2006

I hesitate to say anything because so much has been said. However you may feel about schoolbusses and flashing lites and stop/don't stop or pull over, not of that matters. School bus drivers have an awesome responsibility. Ironically, those who respond on platewire in a disrepectful way, have no responsibilities. Sadly, this is the world we live in. I am grateful to see the comments of/by so many who are intelligent, respectful, caring and responsible. It is encouraging to say the least. Former truck/cab/bus/limo/forklift driver and raised by the same.

I cannot believe platewire allows people use obscured language. Hopefully they will get caught by the government-they are watching!

Posted by Ex Truckdriver on Wednesday, December 27, 2006

Hotdog, you are an idiot.

Posted by crashing234567 on Sunday, December 31, 2006

In some states, the school buses have front a rear cameras to capture plates of cars that don't stop. I believe in Idaho that it's an automatic $500 fine for violators.

Posted by beachbum on Wednesday, December 27, 2006

BayTrucker I’m with you. However, instead of beating him by yourself just follow him home. Then post a time and place and I’ll meet you there. Hopefully, we’d meet up with hotdog.

Posted by Bergamon on Sunday, December 31, 2006

GreenT555 I am terrified that Hotdog will take your advice and have children. Don't you think one is quite enough?? Please be careful what you wish for!

Posted by 495driver on Thursday, December 28, 2006

oh my. why do we want hotdog to have children. pass his idiot dna onto others? gosh no.

Posted by accordselux on Monday, January 01, 2007

There's a term my cousin used today to describe kids on the internet. Apparently there's a bunch of little kids that go on their online games and speak with a microphone. When they speak, their voice is all high pitched and prepubescent. To appear older, they make up for it by swearing a lot. The term is Squirrely Kid. Hotdog, perhaps?

Posted by stimpy47 on Tuesday, January 02, 2007

I believe in ALL states you are suppose to stop.. That's waht the yellow flashers are for. WARNING.... drivers that the Red flashers will be on to STOP. Yes i'm a bus driver.. I just honk my horn and give the guy a dirty look pointing at my stopsign like "what the hell does this look like to you" Most of FINALLY stop (after passing me. lmao) And sometiems it's Not worth getting plates unless you have parents that saw it, otherwise it's a case of he said, she said BS.

Posted by snakecharmer on Wednesday, January 03, 2007

I've been a bus driver for 18 years and every time I think I've seen it all, some jerk comes along and shows me something new. I get passed (with red lights flashing) an average of 10 times a DAY! The majority of offenders are teenagers or people talking on their cell phones.Usually teenagers on cell phones! One guy passed the bus on the right, between me and the curb. Luckily the kids saw him coming and jumped out of the way. BTW I got the tag number and called the police and they didn't do anything.

Posted by MAsafedriver on Thursday, January 04, 2007

Stop signs mean STOP, whether it's a sign planted on the ground in a street somewhere, or on the side of a school bus. What "idiot" flies by a parked school bus with the stop sign on to on-coming traffic? Children are precious, and to have this "idiot" risk a child's life should be punishable by law.. Jerk!!

Posted by JFB on Thursday, January 04, 2007

snakecharmer, try this. Go down to the station in person with a letter of the incident including the location and your bus number and have them sign it that they plan to do nothing. If they're stupid enough to sign it, have it posted in the local paper and then watch things happen.

Posted by Proost on Friday, January 12, 2007

Salty...it may frustrate you and yep, it's sometimes a bit annoying but for kids, I'll take the extra precaution. Not half as shocking as watching a bus speed and recklessly endanger the precious cargo inside.

Posted by Salty Paws on Thursday, December 28, 2006

Why are you picking on Hot Dog ??? I think that bus driver could have pulled over and let traffic by too... Heck, in fact some of those Maine bus drivers start putting on their little blinking lights a half of a mile before they are going to stop...

Go figure !

Posted by beachbum on Thursday, December 28, 2006

They do that because of idiots like hotdog

Posted by jetsclean on Tuesday, March 06, 2007

This was the most entertaining wire ever.

Posted by jetsclean on Tuesday, March 06, 2007

Stopped school buses and children crossing the street. Some school buses flash yellow lights when preparing to stop and let children off the bus. The yellow flashing lights warn
you to slow down and prepare to stop. When the bus flashes red lights (located at the top front and back of the bus), you must stop from either direction until the children are safely across the street and the lights stop flashing. The law requires you to remain stopped as long as the red lights are flashing (VC §22454). If you fail to stop, you may be fined up to $1000 and your driving privilege could be suspended for one year. If the school bus is on the other side of a divided or multilane (two or more lanes in each direction) highway, you do not need to stop.

This is to clear up bay area truck drivers comment. There is more to it, than you think.
