Today's Ultimate ****head Awards

Today I was half an hour late getting home due to a large number of very bad drivers, so I want to dedicate this journal to awarding the worst among them with the Ultimate ****head Award.

Today we had two Honerable Mentions that almost made the list. Both were landscaping trucks.

The first, a proper dump truck, passed almost half a mile of traffic in the Exit Only lane while moving slowly and holding up all of the exiting traffic behind him, before finally cutting over at the last second. He gets an honorable mention because while I expect this kind of behavior from the average Palo Alto driver, we like to pretend that people holding Class A licenses for oversize vehicles can be held to a higher standard.

The second, driving a converted pickup truck, gets his honorable mention for driving 10mph down a single-lane street through a neighborhood with a 30mph limit. Speed the **** up or pull over, buddy.

Now on to the winners.

Our Third Place winner for the Ultimate ****head Award goes to the 30-something woman driving alone in a red minivan up Page Mill Road, averaging 15-20mph and holding up a long line of traffic for 5+ miles while driving with one hand with her lips wrapped around a Starbucks coffee cup lid like it was a big fat ****. Lady, here's what I don't get... you've had the last 20 minutes 'alone' with your coffee while holding up other drivers like an enormous ****waffle... how have you not finished it yet? Your prize is public ridicule and universal scorn. Get off our roads.

Second Place goes to the driver of the **** brown sedan that crossed the double yellow, sped down the oncoming traffic lane in heavy traffic, ran a red light, and almost hit 2 other cars and a bicyclist in the intersection while making his illegal left turn. Congratulations buddy, I caught you on camera. Your prize is an angry letter to the Sheriff's office on your behalf. In the future, just stay home 5VDC434.

With a performance like that, you're probably wondering what could top it for the grand prize today.   Well as it happens we have one deserving driver that went the extra mile to leave the judge thoroughly unimpressed.

The Ultimate ****head Award Grand Prize of the Day goes to none other than the green mini cooper driver who held up traffic while driving 10-15mph below the limit for 8 miles without using a single turn-out to let people pass (average of 2 per mile on that stretch of road) However, it doesn't end there. Not only did he cause extreme aggrivation for people behind him, but also provided an immediate danger of severe injury or death to the oncoming lane of traffic when he crossed the double yellow to pass a bicyclist fully in the oncoming lane while in an uphill blind left corner overlooking a cliff. Your prize is an angry letter to the Sheriff's office, and the sincere wishes that when you hit someone head-on pulling something like that, that someone is driving a semi truck, and not a bike. Die alone, 6UJY316.

Typical bay area imbeciles, all.

Personally, I'd give the win to the runner up driver, but both are deserving.
