DDD 2009

It takes two drivers to cause road rage.

Last night, I was nearly hit by a person who decided that since he angered another motorist, he now has the legal right to driver twice the posted speed limit and attempt to use the road shoulder as a passing lane nearly crashing into me as I tried to pull onto the shoulder to avoid being rear-ended by him since he was going too fast to stop for me. It is interesting how this asshole managed to anger one driver and probably did something big to have him chasing him and nearly hit me. He angered two motorists last night and I was able to stop him in a parking lot asking him why he decided to drive double the posted speed limit and attempt to use the road shoulder as a passing lane. He said he was "scared" and "didn't want to be the next victim of road rage." If you don't want to be the "victim" of road rage then why the hell did you do whatever you did to piss off the driver who was flashing his brights at you? To piss him off even more, you decided that you would rather drive off than pull over and apologize for what you did. It's sad that the police only side with the "victims" of road rage when in 99.9% of road rage cases, the "victim" did something much more serious than the behavior of the road rager. Nobody gets mad at another driver for no legitimate reason so most likely these "victims" did something to anger the "evil road rager". How about the police go after both parties in a road rage dispute and if you anger another driver, pull over and apologize. Running away from the driver will further piss them off and driving at excessive speeds jeopardizes the safety of the rest of us who had nothing to do with your little road rage dispute.

It really doesn't cause two drivers to cause road rage. The angry driver has the choice of chasing or harassing a motorist he is angry with or decide that it isn't worth risking an accident. If you get angry and chase others, it's a good idea to get help for your anger management problems.

The only reason there is road rage is because some drivers nearly kill others with their driving and the motorist who was nearly killed by the actions of the "victim of road rage" gets angry like most people do when some does something that could easily kill them. If people would drive safely, there wouldn't be road rage!

The only person who causes road rage is the person who has anger management problems and decides to take their anger out on the other driver or try to be a traffic cop. Some road rage incidents happen because of a tiny traffic infraction or even no traffic violation at all so driving safely doesn't stop road rage incidents from happening.

How do you even know this driver did anything to cause this djackson? All you have is shallow assumptions. If I were that driver I would have sped off as quickly as I could too. That's better that sticking around and letting a pissed off maniac do me harm. You see, all you ever do is assume things. You never have facts and when you try to justify what you posted, you just look bad. Do you have evidence that he did anything? Were you witness to any confrontations that this driver had with the other driver? Why is it that you lack facts and just make things up when it suits your purpose? This just shows how stupid you are and how bogus all of your complaints are and how wrong you are not 99.9% of the time, but 100% of the time. If you are so concerned about who causes road rage on the streets of Ogden, look at yourself you hypocritical pig! You need to really get a life, and to use a term that you are very familiar with, you are a RETARD!

Well said allegeddevil and BadWookiee. The decision to harass or chase another driver is made by the aggressive motorist and the other person has nothing to do with this decision. In this case djackson has no idea why this driver was being chased but assumed he did something wrong. His story of nearly being rear-ended by a car who was evading someone chasing him serves as an example of how an aggressive driver can distract a motorist and cause a serious accident. Unfortunately djackson hasn't learned from this about what can happen when he chases other motorists. You could cause a serious accident or even face someone who is armed when you confront them in a parking lot. Stop trying to be a cop and leave enforcing traffic laws to the people who are trained to safely chase motorists and enforce traffic laws.
