Protect us from inconsidrate left lane losers,

What is up with the left lane losers (LLL) in the world lately? I can see they are also a thorn in the existence of fellow PW posters. I was going into work and the typical local late 50 early 60 woman pulls out into the left lane from the opposite side of the road. This correct and legal, but then does 35 in a 45. There are two cars in front of me one in each lane. I had moved over to pass the 40 MPHer in the right lane and the clown in front of me delayed passing the LLL until just before the 40 MPHer blocked him. I was blocked then by the 40 MPHer (Another older woman driver) who dropped to 35 and hung off the LLL’s bumper on the right. I gave her my best are you really that stupid look and she backed off enough to let me pass the LLL on the right. Since it is a long straight away for several miles that goes into a 65 MPH zone. I watched in my mirror as the LLL never moved over and her sister in stupid blocked the right lane probably the entire 5 miles creating a noticeable blue cloud of road rage behind them.

Then on the way home tonight through the same area I was behind two cars and was in the left lane passing traffic, we almost had overtaken a Semi when a car who I had watched follow this truck for two miles suddenly decided to pass just as the lead car got there. Of course they were not doing the 70 MPH we were and we had to shut it down quick. They slowing went around the Semi and then leisurely (About 60 MPH) passed another car before moving back over into the right lane. You guessed it another older female this time with her cell in her ear and gesturing with the other. This is a case of “If you can’t walk and chew gum. What makes you think you can drive and talk on the phone?”

I had at least one more Dink Winkerson to deal with who was doing less than 40 in the 45 zone in the left lane and when I passed him, suddenly, his pathetic ego floored it. I thought great you can catch the cops when he suddenly slowed again for no reason I could see. I went on around him in the right lane and when I hit the 65 again here he came. He ran up and camped just off my bumper trying to block me from moving over when we caught some slower traffic. Since I could tell he was a professional A-hole I punched it up and slipped around the slower traffic before I was blocked. He was literally beating on his steering wheel. He then pulled past me and tried to match my speed so he could keep me blocked. I could not see his face, but I know he probably about had an apoplexy when I turned right of the highway before he could stick me.

Ha ha ha, that second driver is a typical horse's ass.  I love it when people are poking along, and then try to seal you off.  Their panties quickly get all bunched up anytime someone attempts to drive faster than the speed they have chosen for everyone on the road.

People like this need to get over it, and let others use the road as they see fit.  Self appointed speed enforcing left lane bandits are the absolute worst drivers on the road, bar none.

While I agree that people shouldn't try to be traffic vigilantes, I'm also concerned about this state of mind that suggests that the speed limit is not only the expected speed of travel, but that anyone is entitled to do that. Sure, it's LEGAL, but not required. It does behoove slower folks to remember where the right-hand lanes are, yes; but DAMN, get over it, nobody else is obligated to cater to you, either!

Come now, bp, a self appointed speed enforcing left lane bandit goes above and beyond just failing to be courteous.  These people actively play games with other drivers to try to control them.  Specifically, they camp in the left lane, refuse to move over, and then when someone attempts to pass them on the right, they actively attempt to prevent it.  This is dangerous and deliberate passive-aggressive behavior, and I consider this group, for that reason, among others, to be the worst drivers on the road.  They are in the same exact category as drivers who deliberately cut others off, or tailgate inches off the bumpers of other cars.  These types of drivers are trying to impose their will on other drivers, and aren't sharing the road.

What sets the SASELLB above even these other aggressive, bullying drivers is that in addition to causing the direct havoc and rage that they do, they also create big areas of congestion, which endanger an even greater number of other road users.
