Yah, it's called the "Wipers on, headlights on" law. And you are right, cops could make a fortune in tickets on this except that I don't think they know it's a law as I've seen plenty of them with no lights on to! (or even using turn signals in your state!) BTW, law also says lights on for 1/2 hr. after dawn and before dusk like that happens too!

I'm telling you.The cops are worse sometimes.They make sure to put the siren on to get through traffic to get to Dunkin Donuts though!I think the parking laws are ridiculous and abused to make money.If the cops would get their lazy asses out in the rain to give tickets for headlight violations there would be no reason to give bogus parking tickets.I got a ticket for parking in front of a friends house at 4:50 am when I left my house after 5 am to give him a ride to work!!I am good but not that good..I think the worst thing the car makers did was automatic headlights because people think there lights are on when they are not..

Soooooo friggin true! Or at least the car makers could have had the tail-lights go on at the same time! How many times in the rain/snow have ya come up on some bone head w/ no tail lights and had to swerve around them to see headlights on? (if you're lucky)  BTW, people/think (while driving) in the same sentence?? Not happening.....LOL

seriously...and i wonder,do they still put warning lights inside the cars today??my car is a 92 and if a bulb is blown out on one of the lights,the dash board shows me..and it's 17 yrs old!!how many times do you find someone with no brake lights??and almost hit them because of it???bottom line is people don't care.they only worry about where they are going..and the mandatory insurance,i think,made it worse.now people think that's what they have insurance for..personally i would rather take my time,use turn signals and be safe than in arbitration over an accident because you know even if it is the others fault they see dollar signs and fight it anyway..thanks for the feedback..feels good to see i am not alone on this one..
