Where do they get their licenses?

I really do not feel safe driving anywhere these days. People are so ignorant and stupid that it makes my head hurt.

I take a bypass (aka, the freeway) to work and back every day. Read: freeway = speed limit 65 mph. Now, Wisconsin is notorious for its awful winter driving, so any other time of year, you'd think people would take advantage of safe, dry roads and would at least go 65? No. This bypass is relatively new, and most people treat it the same as the old road, where the speed limit is 50. I spend nearly my entire ride passing people because everyone is going 50-55 mph on a nice sunny day with dry conditions. What the hell is wrong with people?

Around these parts of northwest Wisconsin, stop signs are not mandatory, speed limits are a suggestion in town, and semi trucks have the same authority as the police. Semi trucks run red lights constantly, nearly killing several people at once. Most of the time it's when they are executing a left hand turn.

No one watches where they are going. People tailgate to the point where you want to slam your brakes so that they'll back off. Either that or you'll get someone who will tailgate you, then get way behind you, then be tailgating you again, etc etc. That game goes on the entire trip. Or people who will pass you then hit the brakes and slow down, you pass them back, then they rip roar and pass you again and slow down.

Motorcyclists around here are awful. They go two by two and they weave around motorists and either drive way too fast or way too slow. I went to pass a motorcycle one day and when he saw what I was going to do, he floored it so I couldn't pass him, but then dropped his speed back down to a snail's crawl.

People around here are so bored and have nothing better to do than piss everyone on the road off. It's disgusting, not to mention DANGEROUS!

FYI motorcycles ride two by two for safety reasons. It's so idiots in cars realize we are in the lane next to them and not riding on the shoulder.
