To "Award" a driver, is to say thanks to a driver for showing courtesy and thoughtfulness.

To "Flag" a driver, is to warn a driver of his/her rude and/or careless behavior that you have witnessed.

To "Wink" at a driver, is to send a flirtacious message to a driver you've encountered.

To "Hazard" a driver is to warn them of a physical hazard that their vehicle exhibits.

Incident This guy, a semi, and myself were all in the right lane in a two-lane road work area heading south on I-75. Another semi was entering onto the interstate, so we all switched to the left lane to give it room. After both semis got back into the right lane, this clever individual decided to drive as close behind me as possible. I maintained speed, as I was already going a little over the speed limit, and this area was being worked on. Once we passed the semis and this opportune creature saw his opening, he sped into the right lane, got about three-fourths of his vehicle past mine, and then decided to move into my lane, no turn signal or anything. I was forced off of the road a few feet to avoid a collision. I'm getting really tired of these jackasses who are ignorant enough to think that reaching their destination a few seconds or minutes faster is worth risking the lives of those around them.

At a point, I'm on your side, but also look at the other side of the coin. Left lane is for WHAT? Faster traffic, get the bleep out of the way. Yes, if he wants (here in Ill) a $150-$400 ticket for speeding in a construction zone, so be it. Speed up a little, find YOUR FIRST chance to get to the right, let 'em go. Always be cognizant of your surroundings and others, which is what your doing but in the wrong lane.

Except that a semi to my right makes it impossible to get over, and being cognizant of my surroundings involves knowing how these idiots who ride another person's ass usually swerve over to fly past the first chance they get...
